Lionel Girard, the FISA (International Rowing Federation) Coastal Rowing Representative and the Chief Director of the 4th World Coastal Rowing Championship held in Istanbul, made the closing speech of the award ceremony and said: "we left behind a first-class event, well beyond the expectations and I will propose to the FISA Board of Directors to hold the next championship again in Istanbul."
